Knowledge for environmentally sustainable agriculture: farmers, scientists and food retailers
Mary Fredlund, University of Exeter
Link to project: Sustainable and Safe Recycling of Livestock Waste
A key research area funded under the first call of the Relu programme seeks to address the risks and hazards linked to the food chain. This studentship aims to compliment this area of research by examining the way knowledge of environmentally sustainable agriculture is constructed and conceptualised by key factors in the food chain, in particular with regard to the livestock waste and recycling issue with its important human health and environmental implications. The studentship sits firmly in the Relu domain and requires an interdisciplinary approach to deliver its outputs.
